It is Official....My Boyfriend is Trying to Kill Me

Look at these work-outs and tell me it isn't true!

Sorry for the poor quality, I had to finagle the pdf into a jpg and lost some of the quality. But look at these! Ugh! Getting ready for a figure competition is going to be painful! =/

I Love You Leyburn Sock

I love you Leyburn Sock...indeed I do. Though the thought of knitting a short row heel on two circular needles gives me chest pains...I love you anyways.

Yay! A New Year and a New Start!

It has been a busy couple of months. At work we were gearing up for year end with Sox testing and organizing, at home we shopped and cleaned and decorated, and socially I spent every moment I could with my Robert =)

In my absence I did a little bit of everything. I tried to sew a little, I started a new pair of socks, ALMOST finished my mommy's blanket, wrote and finalized my New Years resolutions and all that fun stuff.

In sewing.....

I bought about a million quilting charm packs. I suck at cutting (I know practice makes perfect but I am impatient.) so these are the next best thing. And since the only thing I really know how to do is a half square triangle and a pin-wheel I made about a million of these...

Yes that's right...a million! that was in November though and I haven't touched the machine since! They are all charmingly crooked and useless but I love them anyways =P. One of my New Years Resolutions is to learn how to quilt. I don't really want to self teach on this one, I want to learn from a professional I think so I can make really really nice ones! I need to learn more about my sewing machine to.

Chrismas.....

Involved alot of bad eating. I admit I wasn't as strict with my diet the last few weeks. I ate alot of junk food and pasta and chinese. But still managed to lose 2 more pounds! Whoo hooo! This is related to another Resolution of mine to do a figure competition! Robert and I have some friends that have done it and Rob has done a body building competition before so I want in on the action! It takes alot of dedication and I am anxious to see if I can do it.

Besides eating, I also decorated...

Drank yummy punch (non-spiked)

And made gifts for friends =)

Which brings me to my next Resolution, to draw more! In high school and part of college I use to paint and sketch all the time! I have since wondered away from my once favorite past time and would like to pick it up again. I did this watercolor on a whim late one night. I love drawing Disney! =)

I also got a few nice things, including gym clothes perfume and this from my Robert.
He has great taste in jewelry! I told him if he was getting jewelry I wanted something simple and shiny but not to crazy so I could wear it everyday and he delivered! I absolutely adore it and wear it everyday =)

Ok this was actually a birthday gift from back in September but I loved it so much I had to show it! It is a Skelegant mug! hahaha isn't that clever?? It helps me enjoy green tea every morning!

And finally in knitting.....

We have more ghastly acrylic squares for mommy's blanket! Ugh I HATE knitting these...but there is light at the end of the tunnel....I only have one left to knit! YAY!!!

And socks!
The Leyburn socks I have been dying to knit are finally taking shape! My knitting guru helped me with the pattern and it is soooo easy! I love the yarn ( got in a swap a few months back) and the colors really pop with this pattern.
And this brings me to the final Resolution I will be mentioning today. To knit 1 pair of socks a month! The Yarn Harlot did something similar last year and I am determined to do the same. I LOVE knitting socks and I want 12 new pairs by next Christmas! These socks are for January and they are already well on there way. I need to put together yarn and patterns for all the rest now! Haha what a great start to the year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
